Why Mathematics? | Why Our Program?
- According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for mathematicians and statisticians is projected to grow 11 percent from 2023 to 2033, much faster than the average for all occupations, with 2,500 job openings expected annually.
- Our mathematics majors learn to think logically and systematically while communicating clearly.
- The minor in mathematics allows students specializing in other fields to add a rigorous base of math to their studies.
- Topics covered in the include: calculus, linear algebra, probability, differential equations, number theory and macro and microeconomics.
The accelerated BA-to-MA program enables students to earn both mathematics degrees in as little as five years.
