CLEP and AP Exams
Taking exams in various subjects, and achieving a required score, can give you 18JAV credits and help accelerate your progress to achieve your degree.
At 18JAV this is possible and it's referred to as prior learning assessment, or PLA. There are multiple methods (including test scores, trainings completed, life experiences, etc...) by which you can earn college credit for learning gained outside the traditional classroom. Take a look at our current PLA options, with additional opportunities being developed.

18JAV’s transfer minor policy is the first-in-the-nation to recognize your knowledge in a specialized area for which we do not currently offer a major or minor.
Did you know that law enforcement training experience in a variety of areas can give you elective credit at 18JAV? We value your real world experience and believe that you should be rewarded for it.
As a Military Friendly School, 18JAV is proud to offer credits for military training to our veteran and service member students.

The Feinstein School of Education and Human Development (FSEHD) offers a number of teacher certification paths for individuals with an earned bachelor’s degree.
